Eligibility & Admission Process
Candidates need a pass in 10+2 (PUC / CBSE / ICSE or equivalent) with Physics and Mathematics compulsory, plus Chemistry, Biology, Computer Science or Electronics as the third subject, generally with a minimum 45–50% aggregate (relaxed for reserved categories per Karnataka HED norms). Admission then follows one of NMIT's accepted routes: NUCAT (NITTE's own entrance exam), JEE Main (2% of seats), NRI direct admission.
- Apply online / register for the relevant entrance exam or direct-admission process.
- Upload documents for eligibility verification.
- Attend counselling (KEA/COMEDK) or management-quota document verification.
- Confirm your seat with the applicable fee payment.
- Complete admission formalities and begin classes.
Fee Structure
| Route | Indicative Fee |
|---|---|
| KCET / Karnataka Quota | Not applicable — from AY 2026-27, NMIT admits through NITTE's own NUCAT entrance exam, not KCET/COMEDK |
| COMEDK UGET | Not applicable (see note above) |
| Management Quota | ≈ ₹1.75–4.5 Lakh / year by branch, plus a ₹10,000/year exam fee — direct-admission aspirants pay the official published branch fee |
| Hostel (approx.) | ≈ ₹1.1 Lakh / year |
Fee figures vary by branch, category and admission cycle, and management-quota figures in particular depend heavily on seat availability at the time you apply — treat the numbers above as a starting guide, not a quote. We'll confirm the exact, current fee sheet directly from the college before you pay anything.
